4 out of 5 Indigenous kids in remote communities can’t read. That’s why I’m supporting the ALNF Wall of Hands Indigenous Literacy Appeal. Please donate on my wall then start your own to help more kids learn to read.
I travel through some of the remotest communities in Australia. The kids there are fantastic, but the above statistic is terrible. The children have no trouble learning to speak English but many can’t read or write. We also support kids learning their traditional languages, many of which are disappearing.
